We have several staff positions open and we welcome you to apply. A term with Daughters of Promise provides a valuable opportunity to work with a large creative team and continue honing your own creative talent.
We ask all staff to acknowledge their willingness to support and uphold the DOP Guiding Principles in the content they provide to the magazine. We understand that DOP’s conservative Anabaptist position is not for everyone. Current Staff openings
Each staff editor will work one-on-one with DOP writers to prepare their pieces for publication. The editor will edit between 2-5 articles per issue (based on the editor's availability and DOP needs), and be given a minimum of three weeks to edit her assigned articles. A copy of DOP Writing Guidelines will be provided as a rubric for consistent editing.
18+ years old
Minimum term of 1 year (4 issues)
Previous editing experience required (blogs, marketing copy, print publication, etc.)
Strong, prompt communication skills
Adherence to DOP editorial guidelines
Word processing software such as Google Docs, Word, etc., that allows both author and editor to track/view changes
Compensation: credit lines in and free copies of each issue to which the photographer contributes.
