Vision & Mission
The voices of our world do not speak with a woman’s best interest in mind. Mainstream media swings between a whisper and a shout, delivering lies that only condemn: you are a failure. You can never do this. Your best life is somewhere else. Beauty is wrapped in the cloak of sensuality; strong, graceful femininity has been discarded in the panic for gender equality; and value is measured by physical appearance or career achievements. From every corner of media comes the cry to be more, do more, take more.
Daughters of Promise Magazine was created to offer a better form of media - one that brings clarity, encouragement, and truth. Content is shaped by our conviction that Whose we are determines who we are. Rather than urging women to try harder or do more, we invite women to Jesus and the rest and freedom found in Him.
As a ministry, we are founded on Biblical principles, with Anabaptist expression. As a result, DOP fills a niche within the magazine marketplace, pairing uniquely refreshing visuals alongside timeless conservative values. Among Anabaptist publications, DOP stands alone in its target audience, aesthetic appeal, and in-depth content. Each issue is 100% ad-free, reader-supported, and produced by volunteers.
We believe that because “you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Through Jesus, we are grafted into the family of God; a child of the Heavenly Father. "And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God's glory.” (Rom. 8:17)
